Matify Space Blueprints for Confluence

Space Blueprints for Confluence

Turn a space you already trust into a blueprint. Let your team request new spaces through a form that enforces your naming policy. Approve with one click. The app does the rest, and keeps a record.

What it is for

Confluence gives you no way to define your own space template and no way for someone to ask for a space. So administrators build every new space by hand and nobody can say later who asked for it, who approved it, or which standard it was supposed to follow.

This app closes that loop:

  1. An administrator marks an existing space as a blueprint.
  2. Anyone eligible requests a space from that blueprint. The form validates the name against your

naming policy before it will submit.

  1. An administrator approves — or an auto-approval rule handles it.
  2. The app provisions the space: creates it with the blueprint's access configuration, assigns the

owner their role, copies the page tree through Confluence's own copy task, applies labels, and stamps the blueprint reference and a review date onto the space.

  1. The inventory keeps track: owner, blueprint, review date, last activity, and drift when a space

stops matching its blueprint.

  1. The audit trail records all of it.

Requirements

yet, spaces are still created and the app tells you access was not copied.

Trust

The app runs entirely on Atlassian's platform. It makes no external network calls of any kind — no analytics, no error reporting, no content delivery network, no remote fonts. It stores metadata and Atlassian account ids, never page content. It never deletes or archives a space.
